These courses will vary in duration dependent on your requirements. All clinical procedural skills will be taught in a simulated environment. Clinical Competency documents will be issued for ongoing development.


Epilepsy and Buccal Midazolam

 

This course is aimed at healthcare professionals who may deal with people who suffer with epilepsy and require the administration of buccal Midazolam. Rectal Diazepam administration can also be included on request.

Course content:

  • Pathophysiology of Epilepsy
  • Seizure Types
  • What to do during and after a seizure
  • Indications, contraindications and risks of buccal Midazolam
  • Administration of buccal Midazolam
  • Basic First Aid

The course duration will vary between 2 hours and 1 day dependant on your requirements. Additional modules can be combined with this course.

Vaccination

This course is aimed at healthcare professionals (including pharmacists) who will be administering seasonal flu vaccinations.

Course content:

  • Exploring issues around vaccination

A full-day course aimed at health care professionals who are required to administer medications to patients.
